Why do so many people in Troy not respect themselves?
I had someone send me an email about my recent post regarding the Troy Movie Theater. This person pointed out that the owners of the theater have attempted on many occasions to make renovations, but each time, the patrons just ruin it again. Come to think of it, this is another reason I don’t go to the theater. Most of the time it seems that if there is anyone in the theater, it’s a group of kids whose parents dropped them off to be babysat by the movie theater.
Part of me wants to say that the theater can adapt and overcome this problem by having some security or at least employees who aren’t too busy talking to each other and their friends.
But the part that writes this blog wants to rant about how too many people in Troy don’t respect themselves. How you dress, how you act, how you interact with others all goes into account when I judge someone. Take today for instance, I pull up to the gas station right there across from Hardee’s and there are a bunch of kids hanging out there as usual. This time though they are right in front of the door blocking some of the empty parking spots. And to top it all off, the guys are just hanging out without shirts on. This leads me to make the assumption that they will probably fail in life. You can’t go into the store without a shirt on, why would you think it’s ok to stand outside the front door like that?
Other examples of this:
breaking things at the movie theater or any other establishment.
writing on the door and walls at the bathroom at walmart.
walking through Walmart with alot of skin people don’t want to see hanging out.
walking through the Lincoln County Fair with a beer in one hand and a spit cup in the other.
